An Exceptional Event 5CAPITALS in Summer 2010 The 5CAPITALS is in the Jan / Feb 2010, May June 2010 Minor Matters July/August 2009 edition of Minor Matters volume XXXI No 1 on page 6. It has an excellent summary with a good map illustrating the route. In 2009 National Rally, there was a stand again. On the Saturday, it was in the car park and so rather out of the way for most people. On Sunday it was located at the North Wilts Branch prominent position. |

Overall costs: Estimate of costs One Morris Minor with two adults: Special event rates for 5CAPITALS only: Ferry to Ireland on Sunday after noon Ferry back together cost £213 Petrol for the round trip £150 Camping is mostly at Camping and Caravan Club sites £100 Addition of these £463 These are January 2009 approximate costs. Food and site visits etc to be added on. |

Start on Saturday 24th July 2010 at Malmesbury, Wiltshire. It is week of driving round 5 capitals. We meet at each capital, but otherwise we make our own way round. Cardiff, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and London. The times and location in each is to be agreed and most cars will be able to keep in touch by mobile phones. There has been lots of plans and these are available on the internet once you have registered your interest. You are autonomous, facing a challenge to do it in your Morris Minor in the week It is open to people to do just part of and support is welcome. |

There will be activities to raise awareness of British Heart Foundation and raise funds for it. It is hoped that we will enjoy doing it together. What an achievement - and a memory for the rest of our days! Great fun and friends - hopefully. The proposed event is for Morris Minor Owners and friends to spend a summer week - Saturday 24th July to Sunday 1st August, 2010 touring round GB. It is intended to travel from Malmesbury near the M4 in Wiltshire by Cardiff, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and London.
