NORTH WILTS MMOC

NEWSLETTER

Here are the details of three months with our Branch.

FEBRUARY 18TH

We shall meet at the Jolly Tar in Hannington, Nr Highworth at 8pm.  We have arranged a speaker, his name is Bill King and he will be talking to us about 'Yesterdays Runways - Airfields of Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds'.  Bill has talked to us three times before, one of which was the walk around Coleshill which I think we all enjoyed.  David and I will be arriving at the Jolly Tar at 7pm as we think we will have a meal there beforehand, so if anyone else wants to do the same……

MARCH 18th

Our meeting in March will be in Devizes where John Girvan will take us on a Ghost Walk around the town.  The club has done this before a few years ago and it was great fun.  If the weather is bad then John says he will find us a pub where he will give a Ghost Talk, sounds good.  The cost is £5 per head, which is not too bad and please feel free to bring friends and family along it will be fun.  I still have to call John Girvan again to ascertain whereabouts we will meet up but the start time is 7.30pm.   I will contact to let you know the starting place.

APRIL - SPRING FUN RUN

This is our annual Spring Fun Run that I hope Pam and Ash will organise for us as they have done a few times before.  At the moment I haven't any dates but it will be on a Sunday and will probably end up at a pub somewhere for a meal afterwards.  More details nearer the time.

May visit to the Museum for Busses at Oxford 22nd May 2010

Our Annual Rally will be held at Crofton Pumping Station, Nr Marlborough on June 27th, invitations will be sent out shortly and we hope that you will all be able to join us.  It will be £6 per car.  You can look for more details at www.croftonbeamengines.org

There will also be another group of cars parked alongside us and they are the people from the Morgan Club so it will be a busy day with lots to see and do.
