NORTH WILTS MMOC
Hope you are all well and that you have enjoyed your summer – rain and all!!!

As you probably know Dennis Parsons, who has been a member of our branch for many years and was also our Treasurer, passed away last month, we shall miss him very much. The North Wilts branch donated £40 in his memory to the Swindon Stroke Support Group. This was in lieu of flowers.
Here are the details of the next three months activities for our branch.
FUN RUN - SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 30TH This is the Fun Run that Pam and Ash prepared for us earlier in the year. If you are interested in joining in please can you meet up at Kemble Railway Station (Sat Nav GL7 6AU) at 11am, we will move off between 11am and 11.30am. The route will finish at approximately 1pm at The Red Lion, Castle Eaton. Pam and Ash have asked if you can let them know if (a) you want to join in the run and (b) if you want to eat at the Red Lion as the landlady would like an idea of numbers. Please contact them on 01285 810524 or mail on ash@pandah.demon.co.uk
WEDNESDAY 17TH OCTOBER will be our AGM this is instead of our normal Thursday night. AGM business will be followed by a talk by Bill Reed on Temples, Tents and Treking in Nepal to include a visit to the school in Daduwa which is supported by the charity McCabe. The meeting will start at 7.30 pm and will be at the Red Lion in Castle Eaton, the AGM business hopefully will be brief and then we can get on and enjoy Bill’s talk. If you would like a meal before the meeting can you please book with Melody at the Red Lion beforehand. Telephone number 01285 810280. Red Lion website is www.red-lion.co.uk
ANNUAL BRANCH DONATION
Our branch Committee have decided to donate to a charity as we usually do and this year it will go to the Homeless at Christmas Charity in Park North (this was originally suggested by Dennis). The donation will be given before Christmas so that the money can be used to help people less fortunate than ourselves to enjoy their Christmas.
FRIDAY 2ND NOVEMBER. We are changing this November meeting slightly and instead of fireworks at Highworth Recreation ground we are going to buy a selection of fireworks out of branch funds and have a small display at The Red Lion, Castle Eaton. As it is Friday you can then have fish and chips afterwards, which is always good we think!!! We will start the display about 6.30pm and that will give us time for food later. I would like to know if you would like fish and chips so that I can give the Red Lion some idea of numbers.
THURSDAY 13TH DECEMBER will be our Christmas Dinner. Again this will be at The Red Lion, Castle Eaton. The evening will start at 7pm for a 7.30pm sit down. Nearer the time I will let you have the menu and price and will be asking you for your choices. Father Christmas and his little helper will also be invited. Don’t miss out on the Christmas raffle, fun and festivities.
DON’T FORGET TO LET PAM AND ASH KNOW IF YOU WANT TO COME TO THE FUN RUN AND WHETHER YOU NEED A MEAL AFTERWARDS. ALSO REMEMBER TO BOOK FOR A MEAL IF YOU WOULD LIKE ONE ON AGM NIGHT ON 17TH OCTOBER AND TO LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT FISH AND CHIPS ON NOVEMBER 2ND. LOTS OF OPPORTUNITIES TO EAT!!!!!!
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
