Can I trust cmh?

cmh's faith in healing

cmh recognises Christian healing in at least eight ways, seen both in science and in mystery.

  • Science has demonstrated the power of loving care and attention whether treated with a placebo or other treatments.  It is well known that recovery is likely to be shorter and more complete by those who place their confidence in the power of love/God, and are not held back by uncertainty, unforgiveness or fear.

  • Christianity has demonstrated its ability to heal divisions within communities through practicing sensitivity, forgiveness and repentance as well as through healing of shame   - in many situations.

  • Faith has demonstrated the power it has in giving wholesomeness and well being to believing individuals.

  • Christianity, especially when first practiced, was recognised as being effective in the ministry of healing  - healing of the body, mind and soul.

  • Christianity has demonstrated its ability to heal within nations through the provision of education, health and social services,  redistributed wealth; especially to the poor and vulnerable.  The horrors of wars lead people, who had survived, to desire and a more civilised way to live together.

  • Christianity (not uniquely but substantially) has united and enabled people to search for and discover God's/natural laws and to use them for the benefit and health of people.

  • Christianity is continually demonstrating its ability to express compassion through the ministry of healing on earth.

  • Healing is not exclusively for the very strong faithful Christian, but for all those in need and or vulnerable  -  that ask for it and are forgiving.

  • Healing is also for those that have previously asked for healing before and not found their prayer answered.

If you (as an individual or as a church or group of Christians) are requiring healing or help in healing please go to the page titled contacts.

cmh vision

  • CMH makes people in the Diocese aware of Christian healing and wholeness.

  • CMH promotes healing as a prime expression of Christian compassion.

  • CMH supports parishes in their healing ministry.

cmh cares for people, who are suffering and vulnerable to suffering, so much that it aims to enable parishes and individuals to find wholeness and healing.

Current News and events

Church's Ministry of Healing (cmh) could have things about courses planned, work in progress, interest shown in us by others and helpful quotations.

For example:

A    Frequently asked questions

Such as:

How can I get help?  I am ill and want someone to help me.  I have been to Church and have heard of Jesus healing people 2000 years ago.  But the people there did not listen to me.

B    Feedback

Such as:

In Church they read about someone getting their sight back.  I had been in denial for three years after my spouse died.  It was the only way that I could cope.  The parish had a healing weekend, they listen to me, helped me to be forgiving and I was led to new sight and healing of denial that followed my broken relationship.  Thank you.  I can see my life ahead again now without fears and dread.
